ABSTRACT:

Dr. Sonya T.  Smith is the MLK Visiting Professor in the AeroAstro Department. This seminar will provide an overview of thermal management strategies for battery power systems in electric vehicles designed in the Applied  Fluids & Thermal Research Lab (@FTERLab) at Howard university. As an example of our approach, a wavy designed thermal management system for cylindrical lithium-ion battery pack modules will be discussed.
