BACKGROUND

Originally from Los Angeles, CA, I have loved the idea of space, flight, and aerial defense for as long as I can remember. I started my engineering education at the University of Alabama where I was also a member of their Varsity Women’s Swim team. During my 5 years at Alabama, I completed a B.S. double majoring in Aerospace Engineering and Applied Math and a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering where I completed a thesis on Bio-Inspired flow control mechanisms in turbulent flow. Additionally, I have completed three summer internships at Lockheed Martin working on different teams within the F-35 program. My experience in academia and industry has provided me with valuable insight into the importance of finding ways to increase the efficiency and sustainability of high-speed propulsion systems. As I start my journey as a 1st year Ph.D. student in AeroAstro working in the Gas Turbine Lab, I hope to contribute to solving some of the complex problems that high-speed propulsion systems present.
